Return to India and Other Stories

(Fall 2018; Yoda Press, India)

This collection of stories is about the diverse and chaotically symbiotic Indias that co-exist across villages, migrant inner-city slums, urban high-rises, Oxbridge spires, Silicon Valley, etc.

Going beyond the usual fare of post-colonialism, arranged marriage, Bollywood, and cricket, the main themes here are: identity politics (class, caste, gender, sexuality), displacement, and the loss-gain continuum.

Some of these stories have been published in literary journals in the US, UK, and India over the past two years and won multiple Pushcart and Best of the Net Anthology nominations.
